Ben Furman
is a psychiatrist and teacher of solution-focused
therapy at Helsinki Brief Therapy Institute in Finland. Together
with his colleague Tapani Ahola he has developed a number of
cooperative psychological tools including "reteaming",
a solution foucsed coaching model, "Kids' Skills",
a creative method for helping children overcome emotional and
behavioural problems, "Steps of Responsibility", set
of guidelines to replace standard punishment with helping children
and teenagers take responsibility for their wrongdoings, and "Twinstar",
a tool for teaching solution focused psychology for managers
and employees to help create a more solution-focused ogranizational

Lorenn Walker
is a health educator from the island of O'ahu
in Hawai'i. She designs programs using public health approaches
to help organizations and individuals, including those who have
been hurt by crime, substance abuse, incarceration, and poverty.
She is also an active researcher and trainer in restorative justice,
a lawyer and former deputy attorney general for the state of
